Sustainability

We're not saving the world. Not yet.

But we don't waste anything either.

What are you doing for the environment?

For us, sustainability isn't a label but the sum of many small decisions. Here they are.

Energy

Power, honestly.

Power is power. Everyone gets the same European electricity mix from the socket – whatever the tariff sheet says. That's why we don't rely on percentages. We generate our own.

  • Our own sun.

Our photovoltaic system sits right where we work. It powers the office and data centre and keeps growing.

  • Stored for later.

What the sun delivers at midday, a battery saves for the evening.

  • The better battery.

Our batteries use lithium iron phosphate (LFP): no cobalt or nickel, a long lifespan and far calmer thermally.

Data centre

Only as much as needed.

Servers on demand.

When more computing power is needed, the cluster starts more servers. When things calm down, it shuts them down again.

A second life for servers.

Where it makes sense, we use proven second‑hand hardware. It has already shown how reliable it is.

Well balanced.

A few well‑utilised machines – instead of many running along half empty.

Together, not alone. Many companies share one efficient platform. That saves what each of them would otherwise have to run round the clock on their own.

Devices

Bought to stay.

Chosen to last.

At the desk and on the go, we rely heavily on Apple: supplied with updates for a long time, still in demand years later.

Second‑hand, where it fits.

Not everything has to be new to be good.

Small, where that's enough.

For small, autonomous tasks, a Raspberry Pi or another frugal mini computer is often enough – using a fraction of a server's power.

Care keeps things young.

Regular maintenance and updates keep devices fit for longer than you'd think.

A clean goodbye.

When a device has had its day, we securely erase your data and pass it on or dispose of it properly. In future, we'll give many more things a second life.

Travel

The shortest journey is none at all.

Remote support instead of a drive.

We solve a lot directly on your screen – without anyone getting in a car.

Advice by video.

A good conversation doesn't always need a parking space.

Electric on the road.

When we do have to drive, it'll soon be electric – with an LFP battery.

Close by.

Our data centre and our team are in Austria. Your data doesn't travel the world.

Paper

Digital. Unless you'd rather not.

Invoices, quotes, contracts: with us everything comes digitally – on paper only if you explicitly want it.

Think before you print. Nature will thank you.

Software

Built light.

  • A light website.

This site loads no heavy third‑party components, no third‑party fonts and no tracking. Less data means less energy – for us and for you.

  • The Toolkit calculates on your device.

Our tools run locally in your browser, with no server in the background at all.

  • Dark saves.

On OLED screens, dark mode uses less power. Beautiful and frugal.

For you

Your consumption, your gain.

  • See where the power goes.

If you know your consumption, you'll find the places where it pays off.

  • Generate it yourself, store it yourself.

Photovoltaics and long‑lasting batteries, planned for what you actually need.

  • Switch off what nobody needs.

Routines and automations take care of that on their own.

  • Small instead of always on.

For simple tasks, we build you small, frugal systems instead of big devices running round the clock.

Save energy with TENTEN Amps

Sustainable also means: being around for a long time. And keeping at it.

We're far from finished. Got an idea for what we could do better?
